Von Nguyen – CMS Von Nguyen, MD., M.P.H. is a Senior Advisor at the CMS Innovation Center. He works across a number of projects including the HHS ‘Better Care, Smarter Spending, Healthier People Initiative’, the Health Care Payment Learning and Action Network, bundled payments, and population health.
Dr. Nguyen is a primary care physician and epidemiologist who practiced at a Federally Qualified Health Center prior to entering federal service. He developed an understanding of the health care system as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company and as a medical underwriter with Humana. His past work also included international experiences as a medical director for Doctors Without Borders and an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
