Nancy Lane (Vanderbilt)

Senior Vice President for Population Health Management, Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, Vanderbilt University Medical Center

 

As Senior Vice President for Population Health Management, Dr. Lane is responsible for developing and supporting population health activities within Vanderbilt University Medical Center and managing the coordination of these activities with the Vanderbilt Health Affiliates Network. She joined Vanderbilt in February 2015.

Earlier, as Chief Executive Officer for ValueOptions’ Massachusetts Behavioral Health Partnership (MBHP), Dr. Lane was responsible for the direction and operation of the statewide Medicaid behavioral health contract for the Primary Care Clinician (PCC) Plan.  She worked extensively with state agencies, providers, consumers, and advocates in implementing new services and programs.  She led MBHP’s efforts to successfully win a Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Innovation Grant that funded the development and testing of the use of recovery peer navigators in addiction treatment.

Prior to her joining MBHP in 1997 as Chief Operating Officer, she served in a number of management positions at several managed care organizations including CNR Health and American Psych Management.  Before entering the managed care industry, Dr. Lane worked on deinstitutionalization and community development efforts at St Elizabeth’s Hospital in Washington, DC, and also for the American Psychological Association.
