Paul Harkaway, MD, is a member of the Health Care Payment Learning & Action Network’s Alternative Payment Models Framework and Progress Tracking Work Group. He serves as Senior Vice President, Clinical Integration & Accountable Care, for Trinity Health. Dr. Harkaway joined Trinity Health in 2012 to help lead the efforts around clinical integration and population health management. He is responsible for working with other key leaders in Trinity Health to help with its transition to an integrated delivery system in each of the communities where it serves. Prior to joining Trinity Health, Dr. Harkaway spent more than 25 years caring for patients with pulmonary disease and critical illness at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Harkaway served as President of the Huron Valley Physician Association for over 10 years. In this role, he successfully led the independent physician community in their efforts to perform as a valued and respected virtually integrated group. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Dr. Harkaway graduated from the Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Harkaway completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor and his Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
