Sean Martin, M.D., is the chief medical officer at Oscar Health, where he is responsible for driving a clinical vision for the organization that optimizes the quality, accessibility, and value of health care services received by Oscar members. He has been with Oscar since 2016 and has held clinical leadership roles across several core clinical functions during his tenure, including enterprise affordability, medical management, population health, and behavioral health. Dr. Martin is an avid champion of the use of technology to improve care delivery, patient engagement, patient care outcomes, and health care costs. Prior to joining Oscar, he held positions as an executive, advisor, and board member with several digital health companies.
Previously, Dr. Martin practiced and taught general internal medicine at both private and academic institutions. His contributions to clinical research have resulted in multiple presentations at national scientific meetings and publications in peer-reviewed medical journals.
Dr. Martin is board-certified in internal medicine. He graduated with a B.A. from Stanford University, and he earned his medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Colorado.
