Trevor Abeyta (Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing) Trevor Abeyta is the Payment Reform Section Manager at the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing where he leads the state Medicaid agency’s strategy, design, implementation, and operations of value based payments.
Trevor started his career as an analyst at the Department and started the Department’s maternity episode of care program focused on closing health disparities and improving the patient experience. He is now responsible for leading the agency through a major shift to value based care focused on primary and maternity care, pharmacy, and hospitals.
Having worked closely with provider organizations and stakeholders in Colorado, Trevor is an expert in Colorado health care and leverages that expertise to drive innovation and value for the Medicaid program and consumers. Trevor received his B.A. and M.A. at Colorado State University.
