Paul N. Casale, MD, MPH is a cardiologist and Executive Director of New York Quality Care, the accountable care organization of New York-Presbyterian, Weill Cornell Medicine and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is Vice President of Population Health at New York-Presbyterian and Associate Director of Population Health at Weill Cornell Medicine. He is active in clinical research and medical education and is a Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine and Adjunct Professor at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is a Senior Scholar in the Department of Health Policy at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University.
Dr. Casale is a member of the National Quality Forum Measure Applications Partnership Clinician Work group and is Co-Chair of the Core Quality Measure Collaborative Cardiology Work group. He serves on the Physician-Focused Payment Model Technical Advisory Committee, which provides recommendations on physician payment models to the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. Dr. Casale is a member of the Board of Trustees of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Casale is a graduate of Weill Cornell Medical College. He completed his internal medicine residency at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center (then New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center) and his fellowship in cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He received a Master of Public Health at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.
