Kate Abowd Johnson, Ph.D., M.S., is the Model Lead for the Accountable Health Communities Model at the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation (CMMI). Prior to joining CMMI, she was a Sommer Scholar at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a researcher at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Dr. Johnson’s research interests include neighborhood influences on health, particularly on chronic disease and obesity.
Dr. Johnson received her Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, her M.S. from the Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, and her B.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
