JP Sharp (Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina) JP Sharp, J.D., M.P.H., is the Director of Healthcare Strategy and Transformation at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina. He leads the design of new payment models and strategic healthcare initiatives to transform care delivery and affordability. Mr. Sharp previously worked at the CMS Innovation Center, where he led the development of the Next Generation ACO Model, the Quality Payment Program under MACRA, and strategic planning in the Office of the Director. Prior to joining CMS, Mr. Sharp advanced healthcare transformation efforts at providers such as Henry Ford Health System, the University of Michigan Health System, Hermann Memorial Hospital, and Baylor College of Medicine. Mr. Sharp received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, his M.P.H. from the University of Michigan School of Public Health, and his A.B. in psychology from Harvard University.
