Steve Hussey (Western & Southern Financial Group) Stephen G. Hussey Jr. is senior vice president of Compensation and Benefits for Western & Southern Financial Group, a diversified family of financial services companies based in Cincinnati with assets owned and managed totaling $74.5 billion as of June 30, 2018. Western & Southern is a Fortune 500 company and one of the strongest life insurance groups in the world.
Hussey and his team are responsible for the design, delivery, and maintenance of competitive benefits and compensation programs for Western & Southern associates located in Cincinnati and field offices in states across the country.
He began his career at Western & Southern in 1996 as an actuarial analyst and progressed through various leadership positions with increasing responsibility within the company to his current role. He has more than 25 years of experience in the areas of actuarial, corporate finance, employee benefits, compensation and payroll.
Hussey serves on the Audit & Finance Committee of The Health Collaborative. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and he holds the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist designation.
Hussey earned a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from DePauw University and a Master of Business Administration from Xavier University.
