Andrey Ostrovsky (Concerted Care Group) Dr. Andrey Ostrovsky is a social entrepreneur, practicing physician, and investor. He is the CEO of Concerted Care Group (CCG), a Maryland-based comprehensive opioid treatment program striving to eliminate addiction nationally. Prior to CCG, Ostrovsky served as the Chief Medical Officer for the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services, the nation’s largest health insurer, where he notably advocated to protect the program against several legislative dismantling efforts and led separate initiatives to streamline Medicaid to be more customer-centric.
Prior to leading the Medicaid program, Ostrovsky co-founded the software company Care at Hand—later acquired in 2016 by Mindoula Health—an award-winning predictive analytics platform that uses non-medical staff insights to prevent aging people from hospitalization. He previously led teams at the World Health Organization, United States Senate, and San Francisco Health Department toward strengthening health systems. Ostrovsky has served on several boards and committees dedicated to interoperability standards, quality measurement, and innovation, including the National Quality Forum, Institute for Healthcare Improvement, the Commonwealth Fund, Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgical Centers, and The Coordinating Center.
Ostrovsky holds medical doctorate and undergraduate degrees in chemistry and psychology, magna cum laude, from Boston University, where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa fraternity chapter. Ostrovsky completed his pediatrics residency training in the Boston Combined Residency Program at Boston Medical Center and Boston Children’s Hospital, a time in which he was also a clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School. Today, he is currently teaching faculty and attending physician at Children’s National Medical Center in Rockville, MD, and through angel investment company Social Innovation Ventures, Ostrovsky and his wife finance companies dedicated to eliminating health inequality.
