Andrew Munchel (Penn State Health) Andrew Munchel is the Manager of Quality Initiatives and Care Measurement for Penn State Health Medical Group / Andrews Patel Hematology Oncology. In his current role, Mr. Munchel coordinates several value-based payer initiatives including the Oncology Care Model (OCM). Such efforts have included optimizing EMR workflows, oncology clinical pathway integrations, enhancing practice capabilities to support patient care delivery, and facilitating patient access to interdisciplinary palliative care.
Mr. Munchel brings many years of experience working in the cancer care environment to his role at Penn State Health, including several involving both quality assurance and direct patient care. Andrew maintains certifications as an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) and Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
