Scott Hewitt, MPH, is a member of the Health Care Payment Learning & Action Network’s Alternative Payment Models Framework and Progress Tracking Work Group. He serves as Vice President, Network Standards & Payment Strategy for UnitedHealthcare’s national network of over 650,000 doctors and health care professionals and 5,200 hospitals. Scott oversees a dedicated team accountable for the value-based contracting programs across all lines of business (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and military and veterans). Previously, he served as Regional Director of Physician Contracting for UnitedHealth Networks, where he worked very closely with local health plans to ensure that they have a network that will meet the needs of UnitedHealthcare’s commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid clients. Scott has an MPH from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and a BS from the University of Notre Dame.
