Lisa Suter (Yale CORE) Lisa Gale Suter, M.D. is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Section of Rheumatology, Department of Internal Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine, continuously board certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology since 2001 and 2003, respectively. She currently also serves as Associate Director of the Quality Measurement Program at CORE. After completing her medical degree and rheumatology fellowship at Yale University and her post-graduate training in internal medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital, she trained as a health services researcher through the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program. She then joined the Yale faculty and was the recipient of both a National Institutes of Health (NIH/NIAMS) K23 Mentored Career Development Award and Arthritis Foundation Arthritis Investigator Award. At CORE, she oversees new measure development for hospital programs, with particular focus in orthopedic and patient-reported outcome-based performance measures, and some measure surveillance activities. In addition to her work in quality measurement at CORE, Dr. Suter is co-chair of the Quality Measures Subcommittee of the American College of Rheumatology’s Quality of Care Committee, overseeing measure development. She also continues to study technology assessment and technology adoption in musculoskeletal and inflammatory diseases.
