The LAN Consumer and Patient Affinity Group (CPAG) will host a Brown Bag gathering to discuss implementing consumer and patient principles in alternative payment models and programs. Two companion texts will be used to guide the discussion: CPAG’s Principles for Patient- and Family-Centered Payment, which was released in April; and the Health Care Transformation Task Force’s recently released framework for consumer priorities in value-based care, Addressing Consumer Priorities in Value-Driven Care: Guiding Principles and Key Questions. This paper offers a check list for APM developers and implementers seeking to incorporate consumer and patient priorities into their work.
