4G: Integrated Technical Assistance: Helping Clinicians Succeed under MIPS and Transition toward APMs in the Quality Payment Program

This session intends to discuss the Quality Payment Program (QPP), including the Merit-based Incentive Payment System, Alternative Payment Models (APMs), and the Integrated Technical Assistance Program. The overarching theme of the session is support and transition. Our panel of experts will provide an overview on the importance of the QPP for Medicare, clinicians, and beneficiaries. From there, they will segue into an interactive discussion with a dual focus. First, they will identify how active participation in MIPS serves as a “stepping-stone” for a successful transition to an APM. Second, they will explain how the Integrated Technical Assistance program will serve as a support system to help clinicians succeed under MIPS and, when ready, transition toward an APM.
