Brendan McDonald, MBA, serves as vice president of provider reimbursement and network optimization at Highmark Health. He spearheads payment and network management strategy, and fostering collaboration between health plans and provider partners. His leadership extends to the design and implementation of innovative value-based reimbursement models, driving improvements in both care quality and cost efficiency.
Prior to Highmark, Mr. McDonald served in multiple leadership roles at Marwood Group and The Advisory Board Company (Optum), focusing on value-based care transformation, market entry, and operational effectiveness.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Wake Forest University.
