Angelo Sinopoli, M.D., brings over 30 years of experience in clinical care and health care leadership, with a strong commitment to transforming the health care system. He has spearheaded numerous organizations in advancing population health and is recognized as a pivotal leader both regionally and nationally in health care innovation and transformation.
In his role as executive vice president of value-based care at Cone Health and the Value-Based Care Institute, Dr. Sinopoli is responsible for overseeing clinical and population health initiatives. He also facilitates the standardization of care throughout the organization and drives the development of care models and contracting strategies to support value-based care. His leadership focuses on building the clinical and operational competencies essential for health care transformation, promoting innovative change to enable a new care model that supports healthier patients and communities.
Nationally, Dr. Sinopoli has played a prominent role in advancing population health and the transition to value-based care. For the past six years, he has served as one of 11 members on the Physician-Focused Payment Model Technical Advisory Committee, appointed by the U.S. Government Accountability Office. In this role, he provides recommendations on new physician payment models to the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Additionally, Dr. Sinopoli has been a member of the Guiding Committee for the Health Care Payment Learning & Action Network since its inception, helping to accelerate the health care system’s transition to alternative payment models. He has also contributed to multiple subcommittees and other national health care committees.
